FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

GLASGOW AUTHOR LAUNCHES NEW NOVEL WITH UK BOOK TOUR

With the sell-out success of new book Nightswallow’s launch under her belt, Glasgow-based author and freelance journalist Bronwen Winter Phoenix is celebrating the release of her latest novel with yet more book signings around the UK.

Nightswallow is a supernatural/horror tale with a difference – two, in fact. Firstly, the main character, Night, is dead and has to come to terms with the love she lost, through an emotional rollercoaster journey.

Secondly, 10% of publishing profits are going to Sightsavers International, to help with the charity’s work combating blindness in developing countries around the world.

Inspired by her own dreams, 23-year-old Bronwen’s latest novel manages to delve into some of life’s biggest questions – such as what happens to us when we die – and stirs the imagination by dramatising everyday struggles to find meaning.

The book has been described by Paula McGerr of Shelfari as “another triumph ... an excellent book which makes you think,” while Nici Ford of BCF Reviews called it a “fantastic book” that hooked her from the first line. “You are taken into the past as well as the present; both stories intertwining brilliantly. I loved the characters, and the description of places, people and events were brilliantly written. This will go down as one of my favourite books of the year.”

Nightswallow celebrated its launch at Borders in Buchanan Street on February 28 and was quickly sold-out as the book sparked an interest for the customers.
