About Me

I'm an author and freelance journalist, venturing into the world of 'blogs' for the first time. Although I usually write from dreams, these are purely formed from my own opinions, observations and general silliness. If you're feeling brave, why not read a couple? Or if you want to go back to the safety of nice, familiar books, venture back to the main site.

Hello You - Posted on 7/29/2009

It's been a while. How are you? Did you miss me? I've been sitting here wondering exactly what to say; so much has happened since my last blog.

So I'll start with this. Let me tell you something. The thing about hair is... it just keeps on growing... and before you know it... you've got a Mighty Boosh. Yes, you do. And I know that, because it happened to me.

And speaking of the Mighty Boosh, they were at the San Diego Comicon last weekend. I am wishing our Boosh boys well on their mini PR tour of the US, and hoping they don't get into too much trouble!

It seems everyone was at Comicon this year (well, just about everyone!) and I actually felt myself wishing I could have been there. It was all over Twitter though, so this might sound corny but I almost felt like I kind of was - I lived precariously through the many Twits kind enough to share their experiences. And, having never been to a convention in my life, I now understand why I would want to.

I've been posting on Twitter a lot. It's about the only place I have really been active online recently. It's been extremely interesting getting to grips with such a tool, as it were! The power of Twitter is indeed great.

Had many obscure thought processes recently; been really trying to wrap myself up in a mind blanket to try and get Grassmarket Blood completed by the time I turn 24 next month. It might be quite a tough journey, because I'm trying to get it to work on all the right levels. Hopefully it will just come through for me, the way things normally do when they just work. I have a good feeling about it. Not long to go.

Soon I will tell you all about my Bwinnies. But not today. Peace out.

~B

Mm... Comicon is something I'd like to see once in life. But higher on the list of things and places to visit there's the Sundance festival. Again with the Twitter. If it wouldn't be for all the odd things I've seen on the internet in the years I've been active I'd say it was the bane of the internet. It'll pass, and I'll be waiting until it does.

Somehow I don't feel the urge to go somewhere and see a lot of (probably) middle aged overly excitable Americans dressed up as comic book characters. Maybe its just me?

From the pictures I saw, it was mostly young trendy and fashionable geeky types, and hot girls in costumes... And then there was Jonathan Ross! Hahah.

hi B, how are you today? have you thought of doing a short story about the pros & cons of a pneumatic drill? we would be lost without them, wouldn't we?

Comment from B
Dear P, did you mean a fictional short story, or a factual article? Right now, if the money was right, I'd do either. Do I smell a commission??

Twitter works because it is simple. Sites like myspace and facebook have far to many apps to deal with.
