About Me

I'm an author and freelance journalist, venturing into the world of 'blogs' for the first time. Although I usually write from dreams, these are purely formed from my own opinions, observations and general silliness. If you're feeling brave, why not read a couple? Or if you want to go back to the safety of nice, familiar books, venture back to the main site.

MySpace Quote - Posted on 6/7/2009

I recently started using Myspace – I'd already created the account on the instruction of my boss while I worked at the paper about a year ago, as a way to get in touch with bands who were playing locally.

Now I'm actually using the account, I had a quick trawl through my emails only to find this little gem, from Stuart Purvey of Dundee-based indie band, The Law, regarding Radiohead (and remember, he knew I was a reporter and he fully intended for this to be included in the paper I worked for - I have in no way taken this out of context):

"Radiohead only gave that album away free cause it was that shite no one would pay for it, there fucking millionaires and could not give a fuck about anyone else, torrie bastards - stuart purvey ,,the law...x”

I'd like to state now that this has no reflection on my own feelings, but I figured now that I am safely out of employment at said paper, who would want to deprive the world of this young man's very honest opinion? It made me smile, albeit for the wrong reasons. Thanks for that, Stuart. Crazy internet.

You know, thinking about it, I believe people *would* have paid for it. Am I right?
